(Geronimo) — Navarro’s Colt Brown capped off his senior year as the District 26-4A Most Valuable Player for the Panthers in the 2025 baseball season to lead Navarro All-District post-season awards handed out by the district’s head coaches.

Brown, who announced last summer that he will continue his career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, earned the MVP by batting .506 with five home runs and 32 RBI. He stole 24 bases and scored 41 runs this season. On the mound, the right-hander was 9-0 with a 1.81 ERA. Brown struck out 103 batters in 65 and two-third innings pitched.

The Panthers had three players voted to the all-district first team. Senior Matthew Villanueva was named to the first team as a third baseman. Senior center fielder Elijah Farley earned a first team nod in the outfield. And junior Noah Rosas was named to the first team as a designated hitter.

Sophomore pitcher Peyton Helford was named to the all-district second team along with freshman second baseman Emerson Elder and junior third baseman Austin Davidson. Making the honorable mention list were Caleb Wood, Maddux Adams, Craig Heiman and Ryan Davidson.

Navarro went 24-5 with an 8-2 district record in 2025, finishing in a three-way tie for first place in District 26-4A with Davenport and Wimberley. The Panthers advanced to the UIL Class 4A Region IV Semifinal round where they fell to Sinton. Sinton would be eliminated by Wimberley in the next round. The Texans reached that state title game, where they were defeated by Longview Spring Hill.

The Navarro Panther baseball program is led by head coach Colton Maiorka, who completed his first season as Navarro’s head coach.
