(Seguin) — The sounds of summer are returning to Seguin as the annual Central Park Summer Concert Series kicks off this June. Hosted by the Main Street Program, the free, family-friendly concert series invites everyone to gather for five evenings of live music.
The concert series has become a summertime tradition, offering a variety of musical genres. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and make an evening of it by enjoying food trucks parked around Central Park or exploring nearby downtown eateries and businesses.
Concerts begin at 7 p.m. each Sunday evening and feature a diverse lineup of performers throughout June and early July:
• June 7 — Comal Community Band (Instrumental)
• June 14 — Los Souldees (Tejano)
• June 21 — Elevate (Classic Rock & Blues)
• June 28 — Music Forya Soul (R&B and Old School Funk)
• July 5 — San Antonio Symphonic Band (Instrumental)
This year, there will be a total of five concerts, with the final performance taking place on July 5. In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, the City will host an additional concert immediately following July 4 to help round out the Independence Day celebrations.
Fourth of July weekend will feature a full lineup of community events, beginning with the Craft Beer & Wine Fest hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, followed by the Fireworks Fiesta later that evening. Festivities continue on July 4 with the Biggest Small-Town 4th of July Parade at 10 a.m. and Red, White, and Seguin Festival hosted by KWED, before wrapping up with the Patriotic Concert on July 5. The Field of Honor display will also be on view at Faith Lutheran Church from June 27 through July 5.
