(Seguin) — Local nonprofit organizations — no matter their size — are being urged to apply now for the 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud Grant Program.
The annual program, now in its sixth year, will award 10 nonprofits across the country with a package totaling $50,000 each. The entry deadline is set for Thursday, May 7.
Local dealer, Ewald Kubota located at 1900 Interstate 10, is encouraging area organizations to act quickly and apply.
Owner John Ewald says the process is simple, but the impact can be significant.
“Kubota is doing their annual Hometown Proud program where you just put in an application online and they are going to award 10 organizations $25,000 in cash and $25,000 in Kubota equipment,” said Ewald. “And I just encourage any of the local nonprofits to put in an application.”
Despite his multiple locations serving the region, only one nonprofit from the Kubota territory has been selected in the program’s history — something that Ewald hopes will change this year.
“We’d love to see somebody local, especially from the Seguin area, win one of these Hometown Proud grants,” said Ewald. “We’re pretty excited about it, and we’d really like to have a winner in our hometown and our own backyard. So, I just encourage everybody who’s involved in any kind of non-profit organization to go ahead and sign up and, hey, let’s see if we can win something.”
Organizers stress that nonprofits of all sizes and experience levels are encouraged to apply — even those that may feel their project is too small, too large, or outside the box. They say the program is designed to support organizations with vision and a strong commitment to community impact.
