(Seguin) — Seguin senior high jumper Cordell Leon announced Tuesday on social media that he has committed to the track and field program at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Leon joins fellow Matador Elliott Weaver in Kingsville — Weaver committed to the Javelina program last month.
Both the Seguin boys and girls teams won championships at the District 27-5A meet at Alamo Stadium last week, with the boys claiming back-to-back district titles. Both squads compete at the area meet this week, as do the Navarro and Marion track teams.
