(Abilene) — Seguin and Navarro high school lifters flexed their muscles at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association boys state championship meet on Friday and Saturday in Abilene.
Mason Harvey finished fourth in the 220-pound weight class for the Panthers at Friday’s Division II meet. Cael Scott placed sixth in the 132-pound division. In the 148-pound division, Dylan Trotti finished sixth, Korbin Benes placed seventh, and Trinidad Aguirre was 15th. Hagan Krauel finished 14th in the 181-pound weight class, while Hudson Stadler placed 10th in the 198-pound division.
The Seguin Matadors had five lifters compete on Saturday at the Division I 5A state meet. Hunter Mica earned a silver medal in the 242-pound weight class. Rylan Rubio was seventh in the 181-pound division. Xavier Rangel placed eighth in the 165-pound weight class. Frankie Medina placed eighth in the 275-pound division, and John Medrano finished 18th in the 148-pound class.
The boys state powerlifting meet was held at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene.
