(Guadalupe County) — A pair of area high school football standouts received all-state recognition last week. Seguin’s Corey Dailey and Marion’s Jaiden Riley were named to the 2025 Padilla Poll Coaches All-State team.
Dailey was named a first-team quarterback in Class 5A Division I. In 10 games during his senior season, Dailey threw for 2,911 yards with 22 touchdowns and four interceptions while also rushing for 658 yards and 13 touchdowns. He finished his Seguin career as the school’s all-time leader in completions, passing yards, total yards, passing touchdowns, and total touchdowns. He was voted the 2025 District 13-5A Division I Co-MVP at the end of the season.
Riley earned second-team honors at wide receiver in Class 3A Division I. The senior established Marion single-season school records with 71 receptions for 1,244 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2025. Riley was named the unanimous District 13-3A Offensive MVP following the season.
Additionally, Marion senior quarterback Kade Pape was named an honorable mention to the Class 3A Division I All-State team. Pape threw for 2,496 yards with 34 touchdowns while also rushing for 530 yards and 12 scores while earning first-team All-District 13-3A Division I honors.
