The Lady Mats aim to snap a two-game skid and avenge last month’s 64-45 loss to the Lady Bulldogs. Seguin is 4-4 in district play.

The Panthers wrapped non-district play with a 52-31 win over Smithville at the new Navarro High School. They face the La Vernia Bears at 7:30 p.m. Friday at La Vernia High School.
(Marion) — The Marion basketball teams are idle today. Both Bulldog squads return to action Friday.
They’ll face San Antonio Cole in District 27-3A play. The boys’ game is the Bulldogs’ district opener; they’re 17-6 overall. The Lady Bulldogs seek to improve to 2-0 in district.
