Marion Bulldogs earn multiple All-District 13-3A football honors

(Marion) — The All-District 13-3A football team was announced over the weekend, and several Marion Bulldogs earned recognition for their outstanding season.

Senior wide receiver Jaiden Riley was named unanimous District 13-3A Offensive MVP. Riley caught 71 passes for 1,244 yards and 22 touchdowns this season.

Seven members of the Marion offense were named to the all-district first team. Offensive linemen Mark Pardo, Banji Ajasin, and Trent Larson were unanimous first-team selections up front. Tight end Nate Halter earned first-team honors. Running back Tanner Otis and wide receiver Jack Wells were unanimous first-teamers, and quarterback Kade Pape earned first-team all-district accolades. Pape and Riley will play in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game at the Alamodome on January 10.

Five members of the Marion defense earned first-team honors. Eli Parker was named a unanimous first-team selection at defensive back and as a return specialist. Parker had two kickoff returns for touchdowns this season, including a 90-yard return in the area round playoff against Edna. Emerson Blevins earned a unanimous first-team nod at defensive back. Cayden Shultze was a unanimous first-teamer at defensive end. Kyle Zamora was named to the first team at defensive end, and Hayden Robbins was a first-team selection at outside linebacker.

Second-team members on offense for the Bulldogs were offensive linemen Garner Garcia and Jackson Mann, wide receivers Cash Rabenaldt and Hayden Balser, and kicker German Madrigal. Defensive second-team members for Marion were defensive lineman Ethan Sanchez and linebackers Blake Birdwell and Ian Nevarez. Marion Bulldog honorable mentions were linebacker Adam Salzar, defensive lineman Bauer Birdwell, and defensive back Gavin Camarillo.

Marion (7-5) finished third in District 13-3A in the 2025 season. The Bulldogs advanced to the area round of the UIL Class 3A playoffs under first-year head coach Joel Call.
