(Seguin) — Guadalupe County officials are encouraging families to sign up by Saturday evening for next week’s large-scale community food distribution. The event, coordinated by Guadalupe County Emergency Management, the City of Seguin, and the San Antonio Food Bank, will take place Tuesday, Dec. 9 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Seguin Coliseum parking lot.
The distribution will continue until all food is gone, but organizers say early registration is key. Signing up in advance helps the Food Bank prepare for turnout and ensures a smooth, efficient process for everyone in line. For those unable to sign up in advance, there will still be an opportunity for them to stop by and wait patiently to get through a line.

Guadalupe County also says volunteers are essential to making the event successful. Anyone willing to help with traffic flow, loading food, or general support is encouraged to sign up and arrive early. Volunteer check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.
