Family wins big on 'Family Feud,' takes home $68,000 after three-night streak

(Seguin) — The Dasher family of Seguin wrapped up their unforgettable run on Family Feud Wednesday night—walking away with smiles, memories, and a grand total of $68,460 in winnings.

After back-to-back victories on Monday and Tuesday, the Dashers returned to the national stage for one final round of fast-paced fun. While their luck ran out during Wednesday’s show, the family still added another $3,000 to their total prize money, sealing an exciting three-night streak that had their hometown cheering from start to finish.

The Dasher team — parents Monica and Robert, and their three adult daughters Kaitlyn, Emily, and Amanda — quickly became local celebrities this week as Seguin residents tuned in night after night to root for them.

For daughter Amanda Dasher, the Family Feud adventure began more than two years ago with a single online application.

“I literally just applied,” said Dasher. “I already knew who I’d take, so I put them all down and called my family to tell them. I said, ‘Hey, so I applied—and they want to interview us!’ We freaked out! We’ve watched it for years, especially at Christmas. We make teams, we play Fast Money—we go all out. We were ready for this show.”

Amanda says the experience was more than just a chance to win. She says it was a dream come true.

“Apply! See what happens,” said Dasher. “It’s an experience I’ll never be able to fully put into words. But it’s real. They do call you. They will pick you. We’re a regular family from Seguin, Texas and it happened to us.”

The Dashers filmed their episodes in March at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, as part of Family Feud’s special Las Vegas-themed series.

And as for Amanda? She says her game show journey might not be over just yet.

“I’m hoping The Price is Right will call me,” she laughed. “I want to go there next!”
