(New Berlin) — After recent concerns about funding for volunteer fire departments, the New Berlin Sausage Festival is giving the community a chance to do its part by enjoying a day of food and fun and all while supporting the New Berlin Fire Rescue and the New Berlin Community Club.
The community of New Berlin is gearing up for its annual Sausage Festival, set for Sunday, August 31 at the New Berlin Community Center from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Sausage plates will be available for $15 starting at 11 a.m. Activities throughout the day include bingo from 12:30 to 4 p.m., a silent auction from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a live auction at 5 p.m. Other activities include a country store, games, and a raffle.
The Kinder Tanzer German Dancers will also be performing, bringing a “traditional cultural flair” to the celebration. The event will wrap up with a free dance beginning at 8 p.m. This year’s live music will be provided by Clint Taft & The Buckwild Band.
