Leroy Henry Real, 98 of St. Hedwig, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2025. Leroy was born on June 19, 1926 at home in Martinez, Texas to parents Gus and Margaret (Schuwirth) Real.
Leroy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Leroy’s favorite past time was farming his whole life. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends. He loved to tell stories about his childhood and adventures of his life. He was an active member of American Legion Post 539 for 60 years, Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and the St. Hedwig community.
Leroy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nelda; son, Gary Real; daughter Patsy Meek; son in law Ronnie Meek; grandson Jaime Meek; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Left to cherish is memory are his children, Vickie Voss (Rodney), Michael Reel (Karen), Vincent Real (Donna), Mark Real (Kathy), Tammy Real (Kenneth); daughter in law Norma Real; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerome Real (Florence), Wallace Real (Joyce as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving friends and family.
