(Geronimo) — Navarro High School freshman Emersen Cochran has been named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State track team.
The association recently made their all-state announcements, which included Cochran on the Class 4A team. Cochran qualified for the state meet after earning a silver medal in the 400-meter dash at the Class 4A Region IV meet at Texas A&M-Kingsville in April. She would finish in sixth place at the state meet in Austin in May.
Cochran also earned a bronze in the 400 at the area meet this spring. The freshman raced in the 100 meters and 200 meters at the area meet as well, earning fourth place finishes in each event.
