(Seguin) – This Friday night marks the return of Movies in the Park.
The city of Seguin Parks and Recreation Department is launching the start of its 2025 movie schedule at local parks.
Jennifer Sourdellia, Seguin’s public information officer, says the city will be kicking things off this Friday with a family favorite at Max Starcke Park.
“We are so excited to be kicking off Movies in the Park for our Spring season this Friday. It’s going to be a free movie under the stars held at the large pavilion over at Starcke Park. The movie gets underway at 7:45 but we do encourage people to get there before the show because we are going to have free face painting and while I can’t say the name of the movie, I will tell you that there is going to be some special guests there before the movie and they are Minions,” said Sourdellia.
Sourdellia says the night out is simple and fun for all ages.
“All you basically have to do is show up. Bring your chairs, blankets, snacks and just join us under the big pavilion. We will have some food trucks there. So, if you don’t want to bring your snacks and you want to eat there, we are going to have Easy’s Snacks and K&J Roasted Corn there before the show and just come out and enjoy the night with us. Enjoy the movie and we can’t wait to see everybody there,” said Sourdellia.
This Friday’s movie will be shown at the large pavilion. Again, pre-show fun begins at 5:45 p.m. followed by the movie at 7:45 p.m. The remaining Movies in the Park schedule includes April 11 at Park West and June 13 at Park West. Blankets and chairs are encouraged.
