Angelita Castillo, of Seguin, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born in Seguin, Texas on May 31, 1932, to Jesus and Maria (Sanchez) Castillo, Sr.
She is preceded in death by sisters and brother, Virginia Castillo, Juanita Suarez, Avelina Lozano and Jesse Castillo, Jr.
Survivors include her siblings, Mary and Concho Castillo as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Angelita was a conscientious hard worker helping her mother, Mary, with her physical needs as well as others who needed Angelita’s care and assistance in the Seguin area. There were several elderly ladies she helped and cared for even living with them in their last days. She was willing to learn clinical procedures in patient care. Angelita was loved by the families she assisted. She enjoyed watching her novelas and enjoyed animals, especially dogs. Angelita had a very good memory despite her age. She treasured photographs by keeping many of family events. She enjoyed reading her Bible, knowing God and the Virgin Mary. She shall be missed for her caring for others, her pleasant smile, and her kindness of family on their respective birthdays, anniversaries and other major events affecting their lives.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. with interment at San Geronimo Cemetery.
