SEGUIN, Texas — The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs baseball team officially announced their 2025 schedule on Wednesday.
This year’s regular season slate consists of 17 home games and 21 road games.
Texas Lutheran opens its 2025 campaign with a midweek Opening Day home game against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Feb. 11 followed by four straight road games, beginning with SCAC play against Centenary in Shreveport Feb. 14-15 in a rematch of the 2024 SCAC Championship Series before ending the road trip against UMHB on Feb. 18 in Belton.
Following the four-game road trip, the Bulldogs will return to Katt-Isbel Field to renew their rivalry with Trinity (Feb. 21-23) for the final time as a conference series as the Tigers leave for the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) in the fall of 2025. The February matchup is the earliest matchup between the rivals since the two teams met in non-conference play in February 2009. The Bulldogs will play their final non-conference series Feb. 28-March 1 against Hardin-Simmons in Abilene before returning to Katt-Isbel Field for a four game homestand starting with a midweek game against Howard Payne (March 4) followed by a series against Ozarks (AR) (March 7-8). The Bulldogs will wrap non-conference play by concluding the home and home with Howard Payne with a road midweek game against the Yellow Jackets on March 18.
Texas Lutheran’s other home conference series are against Austin College (March 21-22), rival Southwestern (March 28-30), and McMurry (April 11-12). The Bulldogs remaining road series trips feature trips to Dallas (March 15-16), St. Thomas (April 4-6), Concordia (TX) (April 17-18), and Schreiner (April 25-26).
The 2025 SCAC Tournament will be held at Dell Diamond, the home of the Texas Rangers AAA-affiliate Round Rock Express, in Round Rock. This is the first SCAC Baseball Tournament that hasn’t taken place in Cleburne since 2017’s tournament that was held at the then AirHogs Stadium in 2017.
In all the Bulldogs are slated to play nine games against teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last season (all nine will be conference games).
