SEGUIN, Texas — The ten-time defending SCAC champion Texas Lutheran softball program announced its 40-game 2025 regular season schedule Monday.

Texas Lutheran opens its season on Feb. 5 with a pair of games against NAIA-opponent Texas A&M-San Antonio at Ed Kruse Stadium as the Bulldogs start the season with a seven-game homestand. The Bulldogs will host a doubleheader against Howard Payne on Feb. 8 before beginning the SCAC campaign with a home series against new SCAC foe Concordia (TX) Feb. 14-15. Texas Lutheran travels to Trinity in a rematch of the 2024 SCAC Tournament championship to conclude play in February before opening March with a doubleheader against Carnegie Mellon on March 2.

Texas Lutheran will travel to Shreveport to face Centenary March 7-8 before hosting NCAA Tournament qualifier Rochester (NY) for a Monday doubleheader in Seguin on March 10. TLU will welcome St. Thomas to Ed Kruse Stadium March 14-15 before back-to-back weekends on the road at Austin College (March 21-22) and Ozarks (March 28-29).

Texas Lutheran starts April with a home series against Southwestern on April 4-5 before traveling to Belton to face Mary Hardin-Baylor in their final non-conference games of the season on April 8. Back-to-back home series vs. Schreiner (April 12-13) and Dallas (April 17-18) are followed by a April 25-26 trip to McMurry for the regular season finale.

The 2025 SCAC Tournament is scheduled for May 2-4 at Taylor-Sanders Field on the campus of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

Texas Lutheran returns 19 players for the 2025 season, including 2024 First Team All-American Caelee Clark (Montgomery/Lake Creek), Rawlings Gold Glovers, Annie Kay (Sinton/Sinton) and Linzee Leal (Corpus Christi/Mary Carroll), and NFCA All-Region designated player/utility Kylee Jack (Richwood/Brazoswood).

TLU made its tenth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division-III Softball Tournament in program history and ninth straight Regional Championship appearance last season while going 33-5 (.868) overall and 19-2 in SCAC play to claim their tenth straight SCAC regular season championship and winning their ninth SCAC Championship Tournament.  As a team, the 2024 TLU softball team once again set a new NCAA Division-III record for stolen bases with 233 on the season, surpassing their previous record of 231 set in 2022, and ranked in the top ten in fielding percentage, on-base percentage, and win-loss percentage. TLU recorded 11 run-rule victories and 13 shutouts.
