(Seguin) – City of Seguin voters are giving Mayor Donna Dodgen another four years in office. Dodgen on Tuesday defeated challenger Francisco Luciano “Frank” Herrera. Dodgen received 6585 of the votes cast while Herrera trailed with 3,238 votes.
Dodgen says she appreciates the continued support and looks forward to this next chapter. She says not only is the city growing but it’s growing in the right direction.
“This is so very exciting, and you know, I just have to say how I’m appreciative of the community –– of Seguin, blessing me again for another four years and saying yes, let’s keep moving forward, let’s keep the momentum that we have going.
And just making us a better place to live, play and work. I mean it’s just awesome. We have lots of work still to do and I truly appreciate the confidence,” said Dodgen.
This will mark Dodgen’s second term in office.
