(Seguin) – Seguin ISD families will not want to miss their opportunity to share their thoughts about the local school district with a third party.
Emily Allen, the communications director for the Seguin ISD, says families have one more week in which to answer and complete a Family Engagement Survey. She says the survey is designed to express your family’s experience at your child’s respective school.
“Families have received those invitations in their email from the research firm Gallup so you will be looking for that in your email as opposed to something from the district and it’s just a really great opportunity for us to hear from our parents about what they see in the district. There is a series of questions. We would love to hear their honest feedback and we will have surveys coming up later this month with students and with our employees as well,” said Allen.
Allen says it’s important to note that families with multiple children will only be asked to answer questions about one campus.
“You would not get one for each of your kid’s schools. The way that we decided to send these out is that it will go to each family to get one survey, one singular survey and I believe it asks for parents to consider the school that their oldest child attends,” said Allen.
Participation in this survey is voluntary and all responses will be kept confidential. Allen says Gallup prides itself in processing all data so that individual responses will be reported in the aggregate and will not be linked to one individual.
“The district will not receive any information about who has completed a survey. All of those responses are confidential so that information will go to Gallup. That is our partner in this and that is who you will receive the email from and then they will share information with us as a whole so we will never know which parent, who said what – we will have none of that information,” said Allen.
Again, parents and guardians are reminded to look for an email from Gallup and not from the Seguin ISD. The deadline to complete the short survey is Monday, Oct. 21.
