SEGUIN, Texas — Texas Lutheran men’s basketball has officially announced its complete schedule for the 2024-25 season on Thursday. The Bulldogs will play 11 non-conference games, including two exhibitions and four home games, in addition to 16 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) contests.

Games against 2024 NCAA Tournament qualifiers UT-Dallas and #RV Whitworth highlight the non-conference schedule along with a three-game slate in California.

The 2024-25 campaign opens with home games against Hardin-Simmons on Nov. 8 and Howard Payne on Nov. 9. TLU takes the court against Mary Hardin-Baylor on the road on Nov. 16 in their final game before their California trip.

Texas Lutheran will face La Verne in their first game in California on Nov. 20 before facing Chapman and Whittier in the Chapman Invitational on Nov. 22 and Nov. 23.

After returning from the west coast, TLU will play Texas A&M – Corpus Christi in their annual matchup for its first exhibition of the season on Nov. 26. Texas Lutheran will host future SCAC foe, LeTourneau, as the calendar turns to December. The Bulldogs will travel to play on UT-Dallas on Dec. 6 before hosting Whitworth on Dec. 19. The Bulldogs will play Incarnate Word in their annual exhibition on Dec. 29 for their final matchup of the 2024 calendar year.

Texas Lutheran will ring in the new year and open league play at home on Jan. 2 when Southwestern visits Seguin before the two teams turn around and face each other in Georgetown on Jan. 4.

On Jan. 10, the Bulldogs will play host to St. Thomas, one of three SCAC 2024 NCAA Tournament qualifiers, and will follow by hosting Colorado College on Jan. 12.

TLU will embark on a four-game road trip to Ozarks (AR) (Jan. 17), Centenary (Jan. 19), Dallas (Jan. 24), and Austin College (Jan. 25) before closing January with a home game against McMurry on Jan. 31.

The month of February kicks off with a showdown against new SCAC member Concordia (TX) on Feb. 1 before hosting #24 Trinity on Feb. 7 and Schreiner on Feb. 8. TLU travels to Trinity on Feb. 14 to start their second four-game road trip that will also see the Bulldogs travel to Schreiner (Feb. 15), McMurry (Feb. 21), and Concordia to wrap the regular season on Feb. 23.

The SCAC Tournament will be held February 28-March 2, 2025, at the Maher Center on the campus of University of Dallas in Irving, Texas.

The 2023-24 Bulldogs will be led by returning All-SCAC standouts Xavier Phillips (Austin/Dripping Springs), Easton Allen (New Braunfels/Marion), Isaac Orozco (Helotes/O’Connor), Teddy Tapken (Austin/Lake Travis), and Mason Wallace (San Antonio/Judson). Austin Falke and his staff added five freshmen, including local prospects Jonah Johnson (Cibolo/Steele) and Jake Goode (Bulverde/Smithson Valley), and junior transfer Trey Blackmore (San Antonio/Cole/Cal State Fullerton) over the offseason.
