SEGUIN, Texas — The Texas Lutheran women’s basketball team released the details of the 2024-25 schedule on Tuesday.

Texas Lutheran will face one of their toughest non-conference slates to date with three of the Bulldogs non-conference opponents competing in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. In total four of the Bulldogs opponents finished their seasons in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and ranked or receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

TLU opens the season against No. 12/12 Hardin-Simmons inside “The Dog House” Memorial Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 8, before hosting Howard Payne on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The Bulldogs will travel to Longview to face future SCAC foe, the LeTourneau YellowJackets, on Nov. 16 before heading to the Pacific Northwest to face Pacific Lutheran, #RV Puget Sound, and Pacific (OR) in a stretch that will see the Bulldogs play three games in four days in Washington and Oregon from Nov. 22-25.

The Bulldogs will conclude non-conference play with two games against #RV Mary Hardin-Baylor with a road contest on Dec. 7 and a home contest for the Bulldogs first game after Christmas on Dec. 29.

The Bulldogs will play in two exhibitions this season, traveling to Incarnate Word on Nov. 14 before traveling to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Dec. 20.

TLU will play 16 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) games in 2024-25 as the SCAC moves to divisions following the expansion of the conference ahead of the 2024 academic year. TLU’s SCAC slate kicks off with a familiar foe as the Bulldogs play Southwestern in a home-and-away double dip starting with a home game against the Pirates on Jan. 2 before traveling up to Georgetown on Jan. 4.

Texas Lutheran will welcome St. Thomas and Colorado College on Jan. 10 and 12 before beginning a four-game road trip as they travel to Ozarks (AR) (Jan. 17), Centenary (Jan. 19), Dallas (Jan. 24), and Austin College (Jan. 25).

SCAC play returns to Seguin for a four-game homestand starting with McMurry on Jan. 31 before welcoming Concordia (Feb.1), rival #23/RV Trinity (Feb. 7), and Schreiner (Feb. 8).

The Bulldogs wrap the regular season with a four-game road trip – traveling to Trinity (Feb. 14), Schreiner (Feb. 15), McMurry (Feb. 21), and Concordia in the regular season finale on Feb. 23rd.

The SCAC Tournament will be held February 28-March 2, 2025, at the Maher Center on the campus of University of Dallas in Irving, Texas.

Texas Lutheran is coming off just the fourth 20-win season in program history as the Bulldogs finished 20-6 in 2023-24. The Bulldogs boast a roster that features 15 returners from a season ago while adding four freshmen to the talented roster. Last season saw the Bulldogs post two wins over future SCAC opponent Concordia in a season that saw head coach Troy Patterson named SCAC Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons at the helm. The Bulldogs return four out of their five All-SCAC honorees from last season in Lauren Sansano (San Antonio/FEAST), Kailee Mulkey (New Braunfels/New Braunfels), Kayla Presley (Kyle/San Marcos), and Davi’Yanna Jones (San Antonio/Stevens).
