NEW ORLEANS, LA — Seven Bulldogs: Ezra Acero (San Antonio//Harlan), Parker Cabra (Schertz/Randolph), Rickey Franks (Rockport/Rockport-Fulton), Justin Freeney (Montgomery/Lake Creek), Weston Guzman (McAllen/McAllen),
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.
Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Ezra Acero earned All-Region honors in the pole vault (5.02m/16′ 5.5″), his fifth All-Region honor across indoor and outdoor track and field seasons dating back to his 2021 freshman season. His 5.02m mark led the West Region and ranked seventh in all of NCAA Division-III. Acero achieved the school record mark at the Bobcat Invitational in March.
Parker Cabra earns All-Region honors as a freshman in the high jump with a mark of 2.02m (6′ 7.5″) which ranked fifth in the West region.
Dalon Harris was recognized for his performance in the shot put (16.42m/53′ 10.5″) and the discus throw (46.46m/152′ 5″). Harris would rank second in the region in the shot put and fifth in the region in the discus throw.
The back-to-back SCAC Champion and NCAA Championship qualifying Texas Lutheran 4x100m relay team comprised of: Rickey Franks, Justin Freeney, Bryce Powell-Chimene, and Weston Guzman earns All-Region honors after winning the 4x100m relay at the 2024 SCAC Championships, repeating as the 4x100m relay champions with a SCAC record breaking time of 40.81 seconds before improving on the time two weeks later at the Trinity Last Chance Meet with a season-best time of 40.80 seconds.
The seven add to the list of All-Region honors for TLU Men’s Track and Field in 2024 as Acero, Chase Cook, Riley Denman, and Harris all earned All-Region honors during the indoor season.
