(Marion) — The Navarro Lady Panthers finished second at the Marion softball tournament going 4-1 over three days ending play with an 8-4 win over Ingram Moore on Saturday. Shelbi Stevens clubbed a home run on Saturday and Lady Panther hurler Reagan Herrera had a win and a save in the circle. Navarro is at Jourdanton on Tuesday night.
The Marion Lady Bulldogs finished the tournament with a 3-2 record. Cambry Dojahn had four RBI in a 13-0 shutout over Sabinal on Friday. Marion will be at Blanco Tuesday night.
(Kekaha, HI) — And the Seguin Lady Matadors are back on the mainland after finishing six games in three days out in Hawaii on Saturday. The Lady Mats will be in the Hill Country at Boerne Tuesday night.
(Marion) — The Marion Bulldog baseball team went 2-2 in the Marion tournament on Friday and Saturday. Chase Hallmark blasted a two-run home run for the Bulldogs in the first inning of a 13-3 win over John Paul II on Friday. Marion will be at Yoakum Tuesday night.
(Jourdanton) — The Navarro Panthers finished play with a 10-1 victory over host Jourdanton in the Jourdanton tournament on Saturday. Panther right-hander Colt Brown tossed a no-hitter in a victory over Poth on Friday. Landun Taylor and Gavin Newborg were named to the All-Tourney team. Navarro will play in the Floresville tournament starting on Thursday.
(Seguin) — And the Seguin Matadors wrapped the Seguin tournament on Saturday. Griffen Welfel threw a no-hitter for the Mats in 10-0 win over San Antonio Edison in Seguin’s second game of the tournament. Seguin will host Cibolo Steele Tuesday night at Smokey Joe Williams Field.
