Martha Carrizales Gonzales, age 93 of Seguin, passed away on December 13, 2018.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with luncheon after in the Parish Center. Private interment will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery later that afternoon with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. Martha was born on January 2, 1925 in Seguin, Texas to Juan and Rita (Morales) Carrizales. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernabe Gonzales, Sr., her parents, her siblings, Julian Carrizales, Maria Rico, Jesse Carrizales, Joe Carrizales, Andrew Carrizales, and Josefina Medina. Survivors include her loving brother, Gilbert Carrizales; her loving children, Ben Gonzales, Jr., and wife Cecilia, Cecilia Gonzales De La Garza and husband Danny, and Yolanda Gonzales Uresti; grandchildren who loved her and knew her as “Grandma”, Marie De La Garza, Marc Gonzales, Cindy French, Ben Gonzales, Martha Gonzales, Jon De La Garza, Robbie De La Garza, Christie Uresti and Julia Uresti; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Gonzales, Marc Gonzales, Sergio De La Garza, Julian De La Garza, Robbie De La Garza, Robert Pritchett, and Christopher Pritchett.
