(Seguin) — Classes resume today in the Seguin ISD. The start of the new semester will bring with it a new policy that requires all students to have a clear backpack. The policy was already in place at the district’s middle and high school campuses. That rule will now be expanded to the younger grade levels.
The district sent an email this week, reminding parents about the change.
“In September, Seguin ISD initiated a phase-in for clear backpacks for our pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students. While most of our students have acquired a clear backpack since then, we want to remind all of our parents of this expectation,” stated the letter.
District officials say if you need assistance acquiring a clear backpack for your child, there is help available. A link to the district’s Clear Backpack Assistance Form can be found at http://tinyurl.com/SISDbackpackassistance.
