Albert Roy Jakoby, Jr., age 81, of Seguin, passed away on December 21, 2023. Roy was born on August 25, 1942, in Del Rio, Texas to Pearl Augusta (Huth) and Albert Roy Jakoby, Sr.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later served his country in the United States Air Force and Texas Air National Guard. Roy loved his family, serving at Forest Hills Baptist Church, and the simple life out in the country.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Claudia Jakoby; daughter Cheryl Jakoby; son Duane Jakoby and wife Stephanie; granddaughters Emma Jakoby and Kate Jakoby; brother Rev. Robert Jakoby and wife Rebecca; sister Janie Menn and husband Harvey; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and friends.
Graveside services and interment will be held with military honors on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob Stanford officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Kissiar, Don Hamilton, David Sowell, Curtis Hahn, Roger Clem, Jerry Mauck, Tom Day, and Morris Tate.
