(Seguin) — A local family is homeless today after a fire destroyed their home in northern Guadalupe County.
Patrick Pinder, Guadalupe County emergency management coordinator and fire marshal, says at approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday, fire fighters were called out to the structure fire in the 700 block of Ferryboat Ln.
“Guadalupe County Fire Rescue, Lake Dunlap Volunteer Fire Department, Marion Volunteer Fire Department and McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department responded. The fire appeared to have started in a bedroom. It’s not a suspicious fire. It’s currently under investigation but it appears as though the resident had a wood burning stove located in the residence, so it appears as though that was the cause of the fire,” said Pinder.
No injuries were reported.
