(Buda) — Lightning forced the postponement of the District 12-5A opener between the Seguin Matadors and Lehman Lobos on Thursday night.

There was one game in the district that managed to avoid the severe weather last night. The Boerne Champion Chargers are 4-0 after they came back from a 31-14 deficit to beat the Canyon Cougars 34-31 in Boerne on Thursday night.

(Geronimo) — The Navarro Panthers are at home in Geronimo tonight as they host the La Vernia Bears in a non-district game at Erwin-Lee Field.
The Panthers are 2-1 on the season. They took down the Smithville Tigers 33-13 in Smithville last week. The Bears are 3-0 on the season.

(Karnes City) — And the Marion Bulldogs are on the road at Karnes City tonight. The Bulldogs will look to rebound after falling 28-14 at home to Gonzales last week. Marion is 1-2 on the season. Tonight’s match-up against the Badgers will be the final non-district game before the District 13-3A schedule starts next week. Karnes City and Marion will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday in Karnes City.
