(San Marcos) — Navarro High School cross country runner Ethan Luu captured first place at the San Marcos Runnin’ Rattler Invitational on Saturday.
Luu crossed the finish line in the 5K race ahead of the pack with a time of 15:21. The Navarro junior took the race for the UIL Class 4A Panthers despite competing against mostly 5A and 6A schools.
Carlos Garza finished in 32nd place for Navarro with a time of 16:52. Gabe Rangel was 47th with a time of 17:24. Lilia Flo lead the Lady Panther runners with a time of 19:25.
The Class 3A Marion Bulldogs were represented by Julio Arroyo who finished 57th and Luke Sowell who was 66th. Lady Bulldog Kelli Cielencki was 30th in the girls’ race.
