Guadalupe County Children’s Advocacy Center to host fundraiser
(Selma) – It’s not too late to snag your tickets to tonight’s Viva La Vegas Casino Night benefiting the Guadalupe County Children’s Advocacy Center.
The event gets underway at 6:30 p.m. and will include a night of games, prizes, and food.
Christy Williams, the executive director for the children’s advocacy center, says the best part of grabbing a ticket is that folks don’t need gaming experience to walk away a winner.
“The (game) company is really good about educating people who have maybe never played these games before so it’s a really neat way to learn how to play the games with very little at stake which I think is kind of cool and just come out to support a non-profit that you believe in and know the mission is a great thing,” said Williams.
Williams says thanks to sponsors and prize donors, there will be something for everyone.
“There is something for everybody. There will be music throughout the night. We will have lots of areas for people to kind of convene with their friends and be there. There’s a silent auction and there’s a live auction just tons of stuff going on and The Bluebonnet Palace is just a cool place to hang out,” said Williams.
Tickets are $50 a person and can be purchased at gccac.net or at Eventbrite.com. A link for tickets can also be found on the advocacy center’s Facebook page.
Doors open at 6 p.m. The Blue Bonnet Palace is located at 17630 Lookout Rd in Selma.
