(San Marcos) — The Academic All-State Tennis Teams were released by the Texas High School Coaches Association this week and quite a few area student-athletes were recognized for their efforts in the class room.
Selected to 2023 Tennis Academic All-State teams on the boys side were Seguin’s Kaiden Sullivan who was named to the Academic All-State 2nd Team. Kaden Legore was named to the ELITE team. And Caine Hansen along with team captain Shawn Stager were named Honorable Mention Academic All-State.
On the girls tennis teams, Navarro’s Tatum Harborth and Leanne Rodriguez were named to the Academic All-State 2nd team.
The All-State honor for Harborth is the third for the senior this school year. Harborth was also recognized on the Academic All-State volleyball and basketball teams by the Texas Coaches Association.
(Pleasanton) — There are even more honors for Tatum Harborth this week. She’s been selected to play in two South Texas Coaches Association All-Star Games.
Harborth will play in both the volleyball and basketball all-star games to take place in Pleasanton on Saturday, May 20th. She’ll play volleyball with the best in South Texas at 10 a.m. and then put on her basketball uniform to play in the Girls Basketball All-Star game at 2 p.m.
Two Marion seniors will play in the girls game as well. Signe Rabenaldt and Sarah Cook will represent the Lady Bulldogs as All-Star participants.
Three Navarro seniors were also selected to play in the South Texas Coaches Association All-Star Football Game. Ian Palmer, Paxton Santone and Beau Brumley will play in the game, which will take place at 7 p.m. on May 20th at Eagle Stadium at Pleasanton High School.
