Seguin Lady Matadors Avoid Rain-out to Club Kerrville-Tivy

(Kerrville) — The Seguin Lady Matador softball team managed to get their game in at Kerrville-Tivy despite rain in the area on Thursday.

Seguin crushed the Lady Antlers 11-3 to improve to 7-3 in District 26-5A play. Ryan Rangel homered and drove in six runs going 3 for 3 falling just a triple short of hitting for the cycle. Garylyn Salazar and Ashlie Aguilar also had three hits. Aguilar clubbed a double as well.

Kendall Hurt picked up the win in the circle for Seguin going four innings and giving up only two earned runs. Madyson Schultze pitched the final three innings and struck out four Lady Antlers while surrendering just one earned run.

The Lady Mats avenged a 9-8 loss at home to Tivy back on March 14th. Seguin will be back on the road this coming Tuesday to take on San Antonio Wagner.

(Jourdanton) — The Seguin Matadors baseball game with Wagner scheduled for last night has been rescheduled. That game will be played Saturday at Noon down in Jourdanton. Seguin will be looking to gain a district split with Wagner after the T-Birds took down the Mats 6-4 on Tuesday at Smokey Joe Williams Field.

(La Vernia) — The Navarro Panthers game with La Vernia will take place either today, Saturday, Monday or Tuesday depending on the weather. Both teams are 2-1 and tied for 2nd place in District 28-4A behind 3-0 San Antonio Kennedy.

(San Antonio) — The Navarro Lady Panther softball game against San Antonio Memorial has been rescheduled for today. The game was originally going to be played in Geronimo, but will now be played in San Antonio. First pitch is slated for one o’clock today at Memorial High School.

(San Antonio) — The Marion baseball team’s home match-up with San Antonio Cole from Thursday has also been moved to San Antonio. The Bulldogs and Cougars will now play on Monday afternoon at Cole High School. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.

(San Antonio) — And the Marion softball game against San Antonio Cole has also been pushed to Monday. The Lady Bulldogs and Lady Cougars will now play at 4:30 Monday afternoon at Cole High School.
