(Selma) — A area man was transported to the Guadalupe County Jail after biting his wife and child.
Selma Police officials say just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 16,000 block of Chelsea Place for a disturbance.
The dispatcher was advised that the complainant was attempting to leave the residence, but was being prevented from doing so. Upon arrival, the investigation determined a male subject had been in a physical altercation with his spouse and kids. The evidence showed the male subject physically assaulted his spouse by slapping and biting her. The evidence further showed the male subject bit his child on the right forearm when he attempted to stop the assault on his mother.
The male subject was placed under arrest and charged with “Assault Bodily Injury – Family Member” and “Injury to a Child.” He remains in the Guadalupe County Jail.
