Families now able to print out applications online
(Seguin) – Blue Santa needs your help in ensuring that whoever needs the following message gets it delivered to them before an important application deadline arrives. The Seguin Police Department Blue Santa Program is currently accepting applications for this year’s gift giving program. The program is designed to assist families with kids ages 0-12.
In order to ensure gifts for all kids who need them, families are asked to submit their applications by Friday, Dec. 9.
To help make the application process easier and more accessible for all Guadalupe County residents, families can now print out their Blue Santa application online.
Once the applications are printed and filled out, then they are asked to be turned into the Seguin Police Department or to one of the other 2022 applications locations. In order to complete the process, each application must also include the appropriate documents.
Required documents include current ID or driver’s license; proof of income or letter showing eligibility requirements for WIC, Housing Authority Resident, Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, Disability, TANF, or the Lone Star Card and\or any direct recommendation by a teacher or police department employee. Applicants must also ensure access to a working phone number and email address.
If two families are living together, and both are in need of assistance, they are asked to submit one application per household. Both parents, however, will need to bring proper documents.
Applications can be picked up or dropped off at various locations. Those locations include:
- Seguin PD
- Seguin ISD Elementary Schools or its Administration Office
- Navarro ISD Elementary/Middle Schools
- Marion ISD Elementary/Middle Schools
- Seguin Housing Authority
- All Seguin apartment complexes
- Community Council of South-Central Texas
- Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office
- St. Vincent De Paul (Schertz)
Upon completion of the applications, families will then be directed to Faith Lutheran Church Pre-School for present pick up on Monday, Dec. 19 and Tuesday, Dec. 20. The pre-school is located at 1326 E Cedar St, Seguin, TX 78155.
