Officials say on Friday, Aug. 26 at approximately 8:15 PM, the Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force conducted a narcotics operation in the 16800 block of IH 35 North in Schertz.

They say undercover agents had reason to believe that La Marcus La Shawn Prince, 29, of San Antonio was in Schertz, attempting to sell methamphetamine. Upon arriving at the carwash, Prince pointed and displayed a handgun but dropped it shortly after noticing officers. During his arrest, officers found his 3-year-old daughter and the child’s mother inside the vehicle that Prince was using to conduct his criminal activities. The GCNTF conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and of Prince. Prince was found in possession of 16.9 grams of methamphetamine, 0.9 grams of cocaine, 0.7 grams of heroin and a handgun. Prince is also a documented member of a well-known street gang.

Prince was placed in custody for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance for Methamphetamine; possession of a Controlled Substance for cocaine; possession of a Controlled Substance for heroin); unlawful possession of Firearm (Documented Gang Member), Abandon or Endanger a Child and an active Bexar County Warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

The child was released to her mother on scene however, they say Child Protective Services was notified of the narcotics operation. Prince arrested and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail.
