(Lubbock) — Texas Tech football players are landing a major “Name, Likeness and Image” deal.
The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports that a local collective called the Matador Club, is signing all 85 scholarship players and 15 walk-ons to 25-thousand dollar NIL contracts. The Red Raiders will do charitable work and community service in the Lubbock area as part of the contract.
The Matador Club will make monthly payments to the players and the deals will be renewable annually.
