(Seguin) – Lineman work was put to the test this weekend during the 26th Annual Texas Lineman’s Rodeo. The annual event was again held at GBRA’s Nolte Island.
Putting their skills to the test and walking away with top prizes were a handful of city of Seguin employees.
Among those earning prizes were Nathan Thiry, Apprentice Lineworker Level III, who won first place in the Apprentice Mystery Event.
Seguin’s Journeyman Team consisting of Eli Santos, AJ Martinez and Jimmy Herrera were also recognized and won third place honors in the Hurt Man Rescue Event.
Approximately 200 utility agencies competed in this year’s Texas Lineman’s Rodeo. The event is described as a competition “that offers the line workers of Texas a way to showcase their skills in a family oriented, fun and competitive environment.”
