(Seguin) – The identity of a man found dead at a local boat ramp has been released.
Seguin Police officials have confirmed the man’s identity as Santos Betulio Romero Hernandez, 51, of Seguin.
A death investigation behind his death is currently underway in the city of Seguin. Sarah Wallace, community engagement officer with the Seguin Police Department, says officers early Saturday morning were dispatched to investigate his body found at the boat ramp located in the 2800 block of Interstate 10 West. She says upon arrival, officers found the Hispanic male deceased. The man was officially pronounced dead at the scene by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Sheryl Sachtleben.
Wallace says an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death. She says they do not believe there is currently an active threat to the community.
The investigation is being conducted by the Seguin PD Criminal Investigations Division.
