(Seguin) — The Seguin Police Department continues to make progress in its investigation of a deadly shooting this week at a local park. Police made an arrest around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The two suspects are believed to have been involved with the shooting, which occurred Monday April 4 at Park West.
Detectives in the Seguin Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division were able to identify 21-year old Sahra Vega, of Seguin, and 21-year old Christanio Soto, of Seguin, as occupants in the vehicle used in the shooting that injured an 18 year old male from Seguin, and fatally wounded 18-year old Maekalyn Ann Marie Smith, of Seguin.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Vega and Soto for one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Murder on Wednesday, April 6, which was issued by Guadalupe County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Darrell Hunter. Judge Hunter set bond at $1 million for both suspects. Vega and Soto were taken into custody during a traffic stop on a vehicle which they were occupants in.
Seguin Police Department is working with multiple law enforcement agencies in the search for 20-year old Draven Rene Reyes, of Seguin, who is believed to be the shooter. Reyes has an active arrest warrant for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say that this is active, ongoing investigation and that more arrests are anticipated.

Callers can also contact the Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers at 877-403-8477 (TIPS). Crime Stoppers has offered up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Draven Rene Reyes. Reyes is considered to be armed and dangerous.
