(Seguin) – A Luling man was shot and killed during a family disturbance Thursday evening in Seguin.
Seguin Police officials say an ongoing investigation is currently underway in the death of David Gonzales, 25.
They say at approximately 7:30pm, Friday, March 11, the Seguin Police Department was dispatched to a home in the 2200 block of Huber Road for a person with a weapon call. The caller advised that a shooting had occurred within the residence.
Upon arrival, officers say they found two males injured with one suffering gunshot wounds and the second suffering stab wounds.
A preliminary investigation revealed an altercation had occurred between the two males inside the residence. During the course of the altercation, one male was stabbed and the second one was shot.
Seguin EMS transported the stab wound victim, identified as Nicholas William Reiley, 39, of Seguin to a San Antonio area hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Judge Sheryl Sachtleben.
This ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Seguin Police Department.
