(Seguin) — Could you or someone you know be the next Guadalupe County Junior Miss?
The 2022-2023 Guadalupe County Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program (better known in this community as Junior Miss) is seeking contestants for this year’s local program, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 10, at The Stephen and Mary Birch Texas Theatre.
High School Juniors from all Guadalupe County High Schools along with their parents are invited to to an informational meeting on at 6:00 this evening at the Texas Theatre (425 N. Austin St.).
The current Distinguished Young Woman, Avery Brown of Navarro High School, along with the committee leadership, will share highlights from past programs and discuss activities for this year’s event.
The local program plans to award over $4,000 in cash scholarships.
Distinguished Young Woman looks for the well-rounded high school junior co-ed who is a good role model for her generation.
Judging categories include talent, scholastic, self-expression, interview and fitness.
Tonight is an opportunity to begin to express yourself as a mature energetic, young leader. The program emphasizes fun and fellowship while urging each participant to be her best self.
