(Seguin) — Everything you ever wanted to know about the 138th Guadalupe County Fair and PRCA Rodeo comes your way in the “official” and recently released fair catalog. This year’s publication is being brought to you by the Guadalupe County Fair Association and Seguin Radio KWED and the Seguin Daily News.
The fair catalog includes the full four day schedule for the fair which runs from Oct. 7-10 at the Guadalupe County Fairgrounds.
Plus, it includes a listing of all pre-fair events which include Mutton Bustin and the IBCA State Championship Barbecue Cook-Off &
Jackpot Beans contest.
Darren Dunn, KWED and Seguin Daily News general manager, says entry forms and contest rules for several featured fair events are found in this year’s catalog.
Dunn says the deadline for several contests are just around the corner so residents will want to pick up their copy soon.
“The new Guadalupe County Fair Catalog is out. The Fair Association hosts the premier multi-day event in Guadalupe County, and people come from all around. The fair catalog makes sure you don’t miss any of the fun. Whether it’s the rodeo or fair entries, dances, or the carnival on the midway — you need to make a plan to take it all in,” said Dunn.
Dunn says he’s excited about this year’s preparations and being a part of the 138th year tradition for Guadalupe County.
“KWED teamed up with the Fair Association to produce the fair catalog this year. We are increasing the accessibility of the fair catalog. Not only can it be picked up at dozens of locations throughout the county, at KWED, and from the fair association, but the entire catalog is also available online,” said Dunn.
The fair catalog can be found online at gcfair.org.
KWED has also teamed up with the Fair Association to sell sponsorships for this year’s fair. If you or your company would like to help sponsor this long running tradition, you can contact our office at 830-379-2234.
