(Seguin) — A team of healthcare workers is doing its part to reach out to its colleagues across the community this Monday morning. A Flap Jack Drive Thru & Dash is being offered for free to all healthcare and all first responder heroes in the area.
Hosting the event will be the administrators and staff at Guadalupe Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation and Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Seguin.
A.J. Saldana, the administrator at Windsor, says the free pancakes, juice and coffee are all in effort to thank those who continue to not take breaks and who continue to serve the residents of this community.
“So, we’ve never taken our healthcare heroes for granted and the past year has really put each one in on the spotlight even under some of the most difficult circumstances, our healthcare teams have been there for each resident and patient throughout our facility and the community in general,” said Saldana.
Healthcare heroes and first responders will be asked to drive through Windsor for their flapjacks and then drive across the street for their complimentary juice and coffee.
Saldana says his team hopes to reach as many deserving professionals as possible and looks forward to serving them on Monday.
“This is our way of saying thank you to every healthcare hero out there especially in the Seguin area because we are all truly in this together. So come by, let’s have some pancakes and start off the week with a little bit of fun,” said Saldana.
The Flap Jack Drive Thru & Dash will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Monday. Windsor is located across from Guadalupe Valley at 1219 Eastwood Drive.
