(Seguin) – A young Seguin High School volleyball team in a rebuilding season landed four players on the Honorable Mention list of the 26-5A All-District team, while every member of the varsity roster earned Academic All-District accolades.
The Matadors who made All-District Honorable Mention include senior outside hitter Taylor Bode, sophomore setter Reese Brittain, sophomore defensive specialist Ashlie Aguilar, and sophomore middle blocker Julie Kocian.
Bode led the Mats with 124 kills, and also contributed 10 aces, 83 digs, and 10.5 blocks.
Brittain set for a team-high 226 assists to go with 28 aces, 63 kills, and 119 digs.
Aguilar collected 125 digs on the year. Kocian recorded 78 kills, 11 blocks, and a team-high 33 aces.

Jessica Preslock, a senior defensive specialist, was named to the Academic All-State team.
Varsity team members who earned Academic All-District honors include the above five along with Riley Jahns, Ashley Lingueno, Kyla Ramon, Tresalyn Roberts, Reagan Rodriguez, Layla Salazar, Regan Schmidt, Ily Stamm, and Lizzy Suarez.
