(Seguin) — While businesses continue to shut down across the country, one Seguin grad has returned home to own and operate the only stand alone nationally branded car repair service in town. Ryan Boullioun is the owner of the new AAMCO located on East Court Street.
The transmission and repair shop officially opened its bay doors on Friday.
After years of working for others, Boullioun says it was just time to go at it alone and beginning taking care of customers here in Seguin.
“I”ve been in the industry for about nine years and have been wanting to open a business. I did a lot of research and I saw the need here in Seguin in my hometown — that there was a need for a place that was reliable and that could also provide a good warranty and really do good customer service and so after nine years, I strived to do that myself and venture out on my own and the decision to do it during COVID, it happened the way it happened. We started looking and we really thought, well you know we’ll actually get it open after COVID and everything just fell together like it was meant to be,” said Boullioun.
Boullioun says he stands behind the AAMCO name and is excited to extend those benefits to the drivers in the local community.
“AAMCO was one of the few companies that honestly, they said this is what we provide, this is the warranties we provide — after that, the shop is yours. We don’t try to control you and everything you do so going with them allowed me to actually still introduce my own business into it. I get to choose what services I have and how much I can offer which was really big for me that I can maintain the name but still let people know that this is family owned and operated and this is my business and I’ll take care of everything you need,” said Boullioun.
When it comes to getting the job done, Boullioun says there’s no big job he can’t tackle.
“We offer everything from oil changes, tire rotations. We do all kinds of computer electronic diagnostics, free vehicle courtesy checks and then we go in and do any kind of major engine repair, transmission repair, rebuilds, remanufactures. We can do it all,” said Boullion.
Boullioun says in addition to their competitive prices, AAMCO is in the business of standing behind its work.
“Not only are we competitive but I think we are the only place here in Seguin that can offer you a nationwide warranty. Whenever you decide, I’m going to drive up to see some lost family in Georgia, don’t worry you can get it service here. If something happens, your warranty is valid there. Same thing, when they come down to visit you here and they need a helping hand, that’s okay, we can take care of them here but that warranty will carry over to Georgia where they are from,” said Bouillon.
As a way to introduce itself to the community, AAMCO in Seguin is now offering a conventional oil change and tire rotation service special for $20. A full synthetic oil change with tire rotation is $30 and then for those diesel engines, AAMCO is offering a $40 conventional oil change with tire rotation.
The oil change specials run through Saturday, Jan. 2. Either stop by or make an appointment by calling 830-491-5111.
AAMCO is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. The business is located at 408 E. Court St.
