(Geronimo) – Navarro High School senior Alexis Valdez recently signed a letter of inent to join the softball program at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
Valdez has been a varsity starter and All-District selection in each of her first three seasons with the Panthers, contributing to playoff teams as both a pitcher and a first baseman. She hit .384 as a junior in 2018.
“Alexis is a humble and hard-working kid,” OLLU head coach Kristine Samaniego said. “She comes from a great family and has values that fit perfectly into the culture we are working to create for OLLU softball. Her offensive power and her talent in the pitching circle will be a phenomenal addition to our 2019 roster.”
Our Lady of the Lake competes in the NAIA’s Red River Athletic Conference.
