(Schertz) — A pair of women found themselves behind bars following a traffic stop Tuesday night in Schertz. Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Investigators say the arrests followed a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford Mustang in the 7500 block of FM 3009. Deputies say the traffic offense involved “nearly crashing with other motorists.” They say K9 Deputy Rafael Pinilla and his K9 partner, Lorby, stopped the vehicle to speak to the occupants. They say Pinilla became suspicious and had Lorby conduct an open air sniff on the vehicle.
After receiving a positive alert, a probable cause search was conducted. Pinilla located methamphetamine inside the purse belonging to Victoria Parsley, 37, of San Antonio. Ilene Salinas, 39, of San Antonio, was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
Collected from their persons or in the vehicle were 11.2 grams of methamphetamine; .47 grams of heroin, one unknown pill and one digital scale. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail.
