Dolores Toney Engelke

Dolores Toney Engelke, age 77 of New Braunfels, passed away on May 14, 2019. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in New Braunfels. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Graveside services and interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Concrete Cemetery in LaVernia. Dolores was born on March 6, 1942 at Fort Sam Houston Military Base to Samuel Theodore and Gertrude Iona (Tewes) Toney. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Theodore Toney. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Emmett Engelke; son, Jeffrey Engelke and wife Ronda; grandchildren, Brance and Baileigh Engelke; step-grandchildren, Megan and Lauren Naylor; nephews, Mike Toney, Ryan Toney and wife Kelley, Chris Hartenstein and wife Susan and Greg Hartenstein and wife Michelle; niece, Lauren Nelson and husband Garrett; great-nieces and great nephews, Vivian Toney, Vonn Toney, Rosemarie Toney, Kennedy Nelson, Lexi Corrigan, Michelle Wilson and husband Jack, and Megan Bassinger and husband Brandon, and Macy Hartenstein, Ashley Hartenstein and Emma Hartenstein; great-great niece, Delilah Hartley; sisters-in-law, Joyce Hartenstein and husband Charlie, and Linda Toney; cousins, Mary Frances Tewes, Genie Flourney and husband Bob, and Debbie Windecker and husband Ronald; other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffrey Engelke, Brance Engelke, Ryan Toney and Greg Hartenstein. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 1147 S.
