(Seguin) — Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin is giving you a jumpstart to this year’s Cinco De Mayo celebration. The non-profit organization is inviting the community to its 37th Annual Recital beginning at 7 p.m. Friday at Texas Lutheran University’s Jackson Auditorium.
Mariachi Juan Seguin students will be performing mariachi favorites such as La Bamba and La Llorona. The Ballet Folklórico De La Rosa students will also be performing dances from the Mexican states such as Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo Leon, and San Luis Potosi.
Organizers say the students have been practicing all year to showcase what they have learned. This year’s recital is sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Guadalupe County United Way, City of Seguin and Allstate Insurance.
