William D. “Bill” Zies, age 71 of Seguin, passed away on April 15, 2019. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary. A Memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 11 am at Union Valley Baptist Church in Union Valley. A reception will follow at Union Valley Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Private interment will be held at a later date at San Geronimo Cemetery. Bill was born on December 8, 1947 in Corpus Christi, TX to Everett and Lela Mae (Alex) Zies. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Fred Zies. Survivors include his children, Deric Zies and wife Tracye, Dena Prude and husband Chandler; grandchildren, Dakota Zies and wife Jackie, Haley Montgomery and husband Randall, William Prude, Benjamin Prude, and Margaret Louise Prude; great –grandchildren, Douglas Wyatt Zies, and Brooks Keith Montgomery; brothers, Everett Ray Zies, and Leland Zies; special friend, Carol Mayo; many other loving family members and many friends.
